Who We Are

General Turbine Systems (GTS) was established in 1979 in Phoenix, Arizona. Houston became the hub of the energy industry, and GTS moved to Houston, Texas in 1998 and reincorporated as General Turbine Systems of Texas, Inc.

Sajjad (Saj) Chaudhry is the founder of GTS. Saj is a graduate of Utah State in Electrical Engineering and has extensive experience in the the rotating machinery industry working for companies such as Dresser Rand, Ingersoll Rand, Chevron and has across the globe experience with assignments in the U.S., Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan and Bangladesh. He has also worked with industry giants such as PEMEX, Petrobras, Enron, Oasis, Enterprise products, Total and Fiatavio on projects as the CEO of GTS.

GTS has a highly experienced staff of turbine engineers, mechanics and project managers, and a test cel to test the refurbished turbines. We specialize in the procurement, removal, transportation and overhaul of Allison 501 turbines. We pride ourselves on our fast turnaround time for overhauls.
