Naval Air Station - Guam USA
GTS was awarded after U.S. government bid to EPC a power plant 18 mw on the military base Naval air station, GUAM USA. The project was $20 million USD and use of Westinghouse W 191 heavy duty gas turbine, as the client didn’t want an aero derivative turbine since the island of Guam gets hit with typhoons up to 180 mph and earthquakes up to 8 Richter scale. The specifications for this plant were state of the art for 1989, as it was going to run unmanned during typhoons of 180 mph, and take earthquake up to 8 Richter scale, this is very high Seismic zone similar to Japan and Marshall Islands of the Pacific.
GTS was provided with w 191 gas turbine only and it developed all the plant from ground up by its own engineering. The plant was built to strict specs of the U.S. Navy and GTS was awarded excellence award for its turn-key work, 9000 miles from mainland USA .

Total France Refinery
GTS was awarded two compressor drives at the Total (France ) refinery in Arkansas city, Kansas to EPC two Catcracker gas compressors using two aero derivative gas turbines, at least 50 feet up near the Catcracker, inlet exhaust of gases. This was first ever installation of jet engine near the Catcracker as catalyst powder, cement like and powder think, enters the gas the turbine.
GTS worked with American air filter in Kentucky and developed the latest and the greatest inlet air system, that could separate the fine catalyst particles from entering the gas turbine inlet and damage the blades. The job was over $15 million USD and EPC for GTS in 1987.
Fiatavio in Torino, Italy
GTS along with FIATAVIO of Torino, Italy was awarded EPC for $140 million USD, 140 mw, combined cycle power plant by USA company coastal power inc. to EPC in Pakistan, TURN-KEY, using Aero LM6000 GE gas turbine in combined cycle power plant. This plant was first for GE in 1999, to have a power plant in sub-continent with their LM 6000 Aero gas turbine. GTS worked with W.A.P.D.A the monopoly utility of Pakistan, to convince them that aero derivative gas turbines are as reliable as heavy duty industrial very heavy gas turbines.
Fiat Avio was the lead company with their billion-dollar company resources and GTS supplied man-power installation expertise and country knowledge to Italians. GTS Engineers supervised the civil works, mechanical erection, and electrical work for FIAT AVIO. This project of over $100 million USD was the largest moneywise project done by GTS till 1999.
Petrobras
GTS Controls Inc. had 17 gas turbines of OEM Man Turbo, Germany with Petrobras, the monopoly of Brazil for oil and gas business. GTS built for Petrobras an open architecture, PLC 5 software to control the gas turbine and SCADA for the Hispano Suiza, TBH gas turbines offshore Brazil. The job was over $10 million USD and done on time.
We show our capability and strengths to be an independent company that doesn’t depend too much on the OEM, except for the specifications of their gas turbines.
GTS engineers have over 200 years of gas turbine experience together to be able to engineer design a power plant utilizing a Kawasaki gas turbine.

• GTS started this project in 2016 and continues now in 2021
